Liability auto insurance

Liability auto insurance is the major feature of an auto insurance policy. While you are at fault in an auto accident, liability coverage pays bodily injury and property damage expenses for the people who are injured due to the accident. This also pays for their medical bills and lost wages. It also pays for your legal defense bills and court costs if you are sued. The Liability insurance is written as three numbers. For example, in the state of New York, the minimum liability requirements are 25/50/10. This means that you must carry: $25,000 worth of bodily injury coverage per person ; $50,000 worth of bodily injury coverage per accident ; and $10,000 worth of property damage coverage per accident . This differs from state to state and country to country, but you should be aware of what the company provides.
